The author of Safety in Numbers is Scott A. Bergeron. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management from the National Techno-logical University in Fort Collins, Colorado. He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and an active member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.

Mr. Bergeron began transitioning from a mechanical engineer into HSE management over 15 years ago and has progressed through the years into several project and corporate level leadership positions. Most of his career has been spent in the upstream oil and gas industry.

The contents of this book originated from information he began assembling while preparing to take the PE and CSP exams. He credits his success in passing these exams with this preparation and wants to share it with other HSE professionals in hopes that it will help in the advancement of their careers.
